Off His Meds

All those people you lost track of, they are here in my basement. I feed them once a day and make them play endless games of Monopoly. I am the banker and the little dog. I won't let them have hotels or 200 dollars for pass go.
You should have kept in touch, I am making their lives a living hell.

A Blade of Grass

The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself.
-- Henry Miller

Will you describe one thing? Just a short paragraph...one thing in this world that you know well and help us know that thing/moment/person and appreciate the beauty of it in the world.
---
I love it when I see a single ray of golden sunshine coming through the window making a halo on the floor. It makes me think it is God remembering me and his way of warming my soul with his love.
---
*()*
---
The full moon floating over the tree limbs bathing the landscape with a silvery light.
The first breath of air when the sun rises.
---
When I am out in the wilderness, especially around dusk... a chill wind blows on my face, almost stings my eyes... its beautiful... everything feels so wild and like it could be hundreds of years ago... very quiet out except for that wind, when it whistles and howls among the trees in the surrounding distance.

I love the feeling of my kitty snuggling into my hair. He likes to kind of prop himself onto my shoulder and snuggle in. His whole body rumbles with purrs and he keeps nuzzling deeper into my hair, while digging his "toe claws" into me and kneading his hands. Then he starts drooling---that's gross and I have to make him stop!
---
The experience of driving at night in snow is very magical to me. All the flakes seem to emanate from one central point and they're all heading straight to my windshield in a mad rush. But I'm warm and cozy in my car.

I hate the commercials that say "You deserve" this or that. People we don't "deserve" anything. Everything we have or can do is a gift from God. He certainly doesn't owe me anything.

And the haircolor ad that says, "Because you're worth it."

I Don't Love Him Anymore

I am not in love with my boyfriend anymore. We have lived together for three years and are financialy entangled with one another. He is a good man I just don't love him ay more.
---
Time to get on with your life. One you fall out of love with someone it just leads to more problems that it is worth. Time to sit down and have a heart to heart. Then go your seperate ways.....
---
Sit him down and talk about how you feel.. I know it would be easier to stay together but it will only get worse. Sort it out asap, especially the financial stuff.
---
Obviously, she was never truly in love, just "in lust"
Maybe she doesn't float his boat anymore, either.
---
It is TIME to move on Life is TOO short! Good luck

Just break up with him, but dont tell him about it. Let the problem work itself out. Kinda like what they did to Milton in Offica Space.

-Ross
---
Tell him you don't love him any more but be kind about it. Do move on, life is tooooooo short to stay together, and the longer you stay in a relationship such as this, the harder it is to evenutally part. I know (I speak from experience). Good luck girl.
---
Don't waste more of your life or his. Do it. Separate.

---
LOL, milton from office space... thats funny!

Seriously though, life is just too short to waste time on this, you have your whole life to live and so does he... dont waste another moment, i wasted 3 years with someone who wasnt right for me, and i stayed for no other reason than comfort.. silly, but we all do it at some stage in our lives.. Goodluck, and at those times when you miss him, just remember how strong you are and what lies ahead.. there is always something exciting around the corner xx CS from South Australia :)
---
Move on now! It will not get easier and you will be doing him a favor so that he can find someone that is truly in love with him and not just comfortable with him.

A Long, long time ago... Memories of Star Wars

wow that's impressive artestry!
---
VERY IMPRESSIVE, I am not into the star wars thing but the art work was great
---
It's pointless to ask why someone does something...we'll never really know and it's a waste of time and energy.

I do remember my first Star Wars movie...I was a pre-teen and my stepfather took my brother and I to see it. I was blown away! First and only movie I ever saw in a theatre five times.
---
my kids would love this.
-the grinch
---
Awesome art. I don't really remember when I first saw the original Star Wars movies. I do remember, though, that my older brother introduced me to the movies. I loved them instantly. Darth Vader has always been a favorite character of mine. Not just a favorite Star Wars character, but just a favorite character period.
---
I was in my teens when the very first SW movie came out.

When we left the theatre, we were so hyped about the story and the special effects.

We couldn't wait for the sequel to come out.

It help define a whole generation and technology.

I wish I can go back in time an relive the whole experience.
---
I remember seeing the first movie when I was 17 and my Mom had just died and my friend worked at the theater and I went there to hang out and saw the movie and really liked it! I may have watched it more than once!!!
---
it was pretty amazing when it first came out.

I've been tracking oceangrams for a while now and it happens to every single one eventually. The good, the bad, and the ugly!

I want to see how long this oceangram can go.
One month, two months? Longer??

Please number your response and say something. I don't care what you say, but pass it on please! Let's make this a record. The longest oceangram in the ocean!!

Memories of a Loved One

What is your fondest memory of loved one?

---

I had just gone through a divorce and was feeling like a failure. On that Thanksgiving my 21 year old son wrote a letter and read it to me in front of all of my dinner guests. He said how thankful he was for me and all the support I had given him over the years. How he felt he could never repay for the life lessons I had taught him.

---

playing hide and seek in the garden with my grandpa when i was little. he hid behind the rose bushes and cos i was so small i couldn't see him. i cried and cried cos i thought he'd left me but then he ran out and scooped me up in his arms and said he'd never leave me. he died in march 2006. love you grandpa bill. -x-x-x-

My brother and I sharing a strawberry daquiri at the start of a long holiday weekend...

Miss you bro!

my grandma died 10 years ago. I was lucky to have a grandma for 33 years of my life. We would sit and talk and talk and talk. She was always interested in everything I did and told the most wonderful stories of her life. I will miss her forever in this life, and look forward to the day I see her in eternity.

My sister and I laughing when we shouldn't eg in church. She was someone I only had to look at if something funny happened to start the giggling. She died 10 years ago at age 34.

I had a hard child life, I spent time with my grandmother. One night while trying to sleep grandmother must have senced that something was bothering me. She laid beside me and said "honey if you ever feel alone, or something is bothering you, just look at the moon, you can see Jesus there, you can always talk with him" She died when I was 8, she was only 55. To this day I can look in the moon and see a profile of Jesus. Miss you grandma, and your wonderful creme pies!! Arkansas 10/07/2006

My fondest memory of a loved one, was not actually a human friend of mine, but a kitten I once owned. She was a jet black Himalayan Persian x Tonkinese and the sweetest little girl. Sadly she was attacked by a dog and was put to sleep a few years ago. She will be sadly missed.

Would you be a Single Mother on Purpose?

If you were 40 and childless (and single), would you consider having a child on your own or adopting alone?
---
If I wanted children, I would go ahead and try to have one. If not, I would consider adopting. My philosophy is this--at age 47 if God wanted me to be a mom, he would have punished long, long ago!!!
---
Hmmm being 26 with 3 boys i'd probably not consider it even with a partner!!!
---
...Follow your heart....
---
Children are not easy to raise even with a partner. They will disappoint you many times. But if raised right, they will be there for you if you need them. I had 4 with my husband of over 50 years. I can enjoy my grandchildren as they go home at night!!
Oklahoma
---
You need to ask yourself, in 10 years from now what will you regret most; having a child or not having a child?
---
I personally wouldn't want to do either, but I am crazy and I don't want to pass the insanity down. If I wasn't nuts and I was 40 and single and had the burning urge to take a squirmy, crying thing and love it and help it turn into a decent human being, I'd absolutely consider having a kid or adopting on my own. Raising a kid alone is harder, but by the time you're 40 you're probably in a position to make it a lot easier.
---
I am 62 and had 3 daughters but if I was in your position I would have a child on my own. I am divorced now and was on my own with the kids for a while although my ex was very supportive and a great dad. Go ahead - you would always regret it if you don't. I don't think you would ever regret it .

Some of us end up being nomads because we moved so much and are used to that. I'm definitely a traveller. Anyone else can't stay in one place too long?
---
I'd like to move somewhere else if my husband was willing to move.
---
why are the service kids called brats? One thing is for sure they are not spoiled for all the stuff bought for them, military people are paid very poorly, so poor some have to have help with food stamps that is a disgrace
---
Brats is a term I hate too. I am the daughter of a serviceman and my ex hubby was also in the Army. Made lots of wonderful friends in the services and saw places I would never have been able to visit otherwise.
---
Sorry no army brat here, just a Jersey girl thru and thru. 10/11/06

Ok, I've got it back again.
The term "brat" never bothered me...no idea why they use that terminology, but anyway, did anyone else move around a lot as a child? If so, did it make you kind of a nomad? Or conversely, who has never travelled more than 100 miles from home?
---
I've travelled more than 100 miles from home, but never lived 100 miles from here!!
Would love to live near the sea though.............

Happiness? Happiness is a by-product - its not something that you can demand from life, and if you're not happy you should stop worrying about it and see what joys you can pick up from your own brand of unhappiness. Really it is a means to an end, the journey, not the destination. If you spend your entire life looking for happiness, you will reach the end realising that it had been with you on your journey, but you were too blinded by your search to see it. Slow down, and enyoy life more!
