Memories of Loved Ones

What is your fondest memory of loved one?
---
I had just gone through a divorce and was feeling like a failure. On that Thanksgiving my 21 year old son wrote a letter and read it to me in front of all of my dinner guests. He said how thankful he was for me and all the support I had given him over the years. How he felt he could never repay for the life lessons I had taught him.
---
playing hide and seek in the garden with my grandpa when i was little. he hid behind the rose bushes and cos i was so small i couldn't see him. i cried and cried cos i thought he'd left me but then he ran out and scooped me up in his arms and said he'd never leave me. he died in march 2006. love you grandpa bill. -x-x-x-

Concepts of God and Religion

i feel like I disappointed my pastor by getting baptized in my church and then not going to church very often. this makes me sad
---
You should worry about your relationship with God, not your pastor.
---
In Mica it says to do God's work nothing is said about going to church
---
Well said. Agree. NZ.
---
me to (little_nikki TM)
---
I've heard that we are not human beings having spiritual experiences, but spiritual beings having human experiences. So we are part of God wherever we go.
---
We are God, and God is us.

We are not made to spend our lives worrying about whether we disappoint other humans because that will always happen. If you spend your life worrying, you will never be good enough. It is our duty to take care of each other and of our Earth. If we do that, we will be the person we were meant to be.

Besides, the holiest place I've ever been was in the heart of a forest, looking out over a green valley. Church is where you find it.

Old Crow
Beckley, WV, USA

---
Oh I like that - Church is where you find it! I don't go to Church but I pray and talk to God all the time.
---
Disappointing your pastor is not as important as disappointing God. Do something nice for someone today.
---
thanks for the kind words, i've been trying to figure out how to work the religion issue with my boyfriend and it's been hard. I really like the line, "Church is where you find it.." and where you feel it...

thanks! Sarah, Vermont
---
yeah to all of that
---
I wish people would keep their religion to themselves.
---
----
to be a good person is what it is all about. Do as Jesus would do.
---
I don't believe in religion, but I believe in being good to other people and taking care of our home, the earth. If religion helps you feel good about yourself and be kind to your fellow man, that's great. If it doesn't, leave it behind. Life is too short for guilt trips and meaness. Live, love, and enjoy those around you. If you want a religion, try this:
"Kindness is my religion"
(by the Dalai Llama)
---
I too, really like the "Church is where you find it". I read my Bible, and I pray right here at home, and anywhere else I feel led to do so. In the forest, on the beach, walking down the street. I pray as Jesus instructed, in private (to myself in public places). As much as I've read the my bible I have never read where Jesus promoted any one religion.
Religion is manmade.
The definition of Christian is Christ like. Follow God's word, and Jesus' example. God is the one you will ultimately answer to, not your Pastor :)

It's comforting to know that there are people who feel as I do out there - thank you for your messages - you have made me feel more at peace.

Evil Deleters

I dont like that your allowed to delete the bottles. To have the right to end anothers words becuase they are not to your taste. To stop any inappropriate messages we should be able to report them, for assessing by a moderator. I can never bring myself to delete another's message, even if I dont like them, becuase I know someone else might.

You want to delete this now dont you.

Haha
---
I have wondered that too. I write a nice little message and the first receiver deletes it....
NO, I WILL not delte this one! :D

---
I do hav to admit i delete the asian ones, cause there is just to many floating around and its a pain the butt
---
Oh my god! a Democrat!...You Go Girl!.. I'm Thinking.... that... I just might...... DISCARD YOU. no, not today, but, I'll be watching....always watching....9/17...mam

copy and?? maybe someone copied, cut, and pasted and left off some of the words.

For you, Asian deleter!
!^^$^What an inconsiderate, oh I can't say it or I'll get deleted.
How friggin hard is it to PASS THE MESSAGE ON?? You're not the only one in the ocean you know? !!

But just a hint...soon you'll be able to find out if your message was deleted or not. They'll have message tracking and it will tell you. So revenge can be had on deleters. Haaaaa!
---
I am afraid to end this message now...LOL
---
must restrain myself....do...not...delete....
---
Message tracking has been added and I'm feeling a difference in the messages now. Anyone else? It somehow just doesn't seem quite as spontaneous or something... Alabama USA Sep 27 2006
---
I read on a blog that some messages are being deleted for no reason. Just some smarty pants trying to ruin it for the rest of us.
I don't know the answer.
---
I quite like reading other peoples views even if they don't match my own.... I wont be deleting.... Anyway if they are offended with original message why not just send it back with no reply or have the balls to stand up for what they believe.....
---
I have discarded bottles before. When the subject matter gets too raunchy for kids, I delete. The site says fun, easy, and free. Keep it clean and I won't delete it. One poster was wrong, even if you track, you won't know who deleted your message. So there.
---
I must admit I used to delete those little squares mesages but in my own defence it was because I didn't realise they were in another language (Squarish!) I send em on now.
Have never ,ever received an unpleasant one.

Wow I got this bottle again...and I'm still watching...always watching....10/7...mam

Scariest Moments

What was your scariest moment?
---
I remember one moment at a ship this summer when we were getting off it the crowd begun to scream and going backwards. I thought a crazy driver was getting in towards the people but was nothing like it. Just two companies were angrily just fighting. I thought that was the end of my life. It was relly scaring!
---
Hmm...probably when I thought I was going to get caught after having done something I shouldn't have. I'm not going to say what!
---
Too many to pick out one that is scariest.
---
Flying over the Dolomites through air disturbance in a very small plane.
---
Too horrible abuse to even talk about here
---
I'm sorry about the abuse and I hope you heal soon.
---
In recent years the most scary moment was getting an official-looking letter from the IRS -- and as it turned out, it wasn't a big deal. But the IRS is scary.

But people facing real danger -- that's something else.

Teddy the Bear's Adventures around the World

,~~.,''"'`'.~~.
: {` .- _ -. '} ;
`: O(_)O ;'
'; ._|_, ;`
' -.\_/,.'`
This is Teddy the Bear. He lives in Seattle and likes going to the Space Needle, riding the ferries, and looking for driftwood on the beach.

Seattle is nice, he tells me, but he's ready to see the world!
"Oh, really?" I ask. "And what is your plan?"
"How about putting me in a bottle and tossing me into the virtual sea?" he says. "Wouldn't that work?"
Well, I told him that would be alright. I'm jealous, to be honest, because I'd love to go myself, and I'll miss him, but I know he'll have fun and tell me about all of his adventures!
He packed his little suitcase and got his best pajamas ready for the trip.
I told him I'd ask you all to take him to all the fun places and teach him about the world.
Ok, here he is! You all have fun. Take care of Teddy for me please!
And I want to read about everything you do and see.
Bon Voyage, Teddy!

---
Oh gosh, this is the best Oceangram I have ever seen.
Teddy you are so adorable and I welcome you here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Earlier we took a horse and buggy ride through out Old Montreal and then later climbed the stairs up to Saint Joseph's Oratory. It was a truely fun filled day with you Teddy and now I must bid you goodbye to send you on to your next adventure. Have fun. :-)
I'm going to miss you.
---
Teddy spent a few days with me in Kentucky USA.
We visited Mammouth cave national park, where Teddy was a bit afraid, being so far underground. We also toured a bourbon distillery, but I wasn't sure Teddy was old enough to have a taste, so we settled for just a smell. We went to Churchill Downs and watched the beautiful horses race. (Teddy's $2.00 bet in the 5th race made him a cool $120.00). We also visied Abraham Lincoln's birthplace, and Daniel Boone's grave. Now it's time for Teddy to move on, but if he comes back to me, we'll find more fun things to do.
---
Teddy ia having great fun with me in San Francisco California. We did have to get him a jacket as it is a little cool here now; he looks so cute in it. We got it in Chinatown and it is a shinny red and he almost looks like a Chinese bear. We had some Chinese food for lunch and then rode the cable cars up and down the hills to Fisherman's Wharf. Did you know the cable cars are America's only mobile national monument? Teddy got a little scared but I just told him to hold on tight. We walked all around the Wharf and ate crate chowder in bread bowls. And we check out the big whaling ship and watched all the street musicans and bought San Francisco t-shirts. After the big day of seeing the city, we went to dinner at the Top of the Mark (big hotel here where you can see the whole bay area.) We had a fine dinner but we both were tired after our busy day so we went to bed early.
Teddy wanted to be off early so I after breakfast I gave him a big hug and kiss and sent him on his way.
---
Teddy had a great time tonight in Salem Massachusetts. 10/5/06
He helped kick off the Haunted Happenings Parade in downtown Salem. The Parade was a traditional parade that the residents in the city put on for all the tourists who visit this time of year.

Embarrassing Moments

What's the most embarressing thing that has ever happened to you?
Mine is when we moved into our new home that we built, the fences behind us hadn't been put up. But that was ok because no house was there. Anyway after a shower I ran into our rumpus room to find some clean clothes. Our rumpus room has three HUGE windows facing the back of our property To my horror, 3 builders were building that fence in full view of my curtainless windows, to see me in all my glory. I hid in my room for an hour!! I was mortified!
Skip EB
---
Well we had an underground wasp nest that happened to be right under our bedroom and the guy who was going to get rid of it was a friend and we were doing what husbands and wives do, and hadnt realised he arrived and was crawling underneath our very room while we were 'busy' NOW THAT IS EMBARRASSING and NO i'm not putting down my name!
---
I got into the wrong car at a drive in once and quickly handed the guy that was in there my tray of drinks and corndogs. When I saw his face, I realized that it wasn't my husband and I had to grab my tray back from him and beat a hasty retreat only to go 3 cars down. This was AFTER I had snatched a speaker off another car with my big 8 month pregnant belly trying to squeeze inbetween cars cuz I was in a hurry to eat my corndog! LOL That's why I had gotten into the wrong car cuz I was in a dither over that. My husband wouldn't take me home cuz he paid his money and he's staying!" and I was too embarassed to get back out of the car to use the restroom later on so I just sat right there in his car and peed my pants LOL LOL

You're sick. You people disgust me. I have never done anything as stupid as what you people have said.

*IMAO* I remember one rainy day my friend and I were talking about crushes then my friend pointed out that I'd look cute with some boy I knew from elementary school, so I got mad at her and attacked her with my umbrella then she slided all the way down the hill we were walking and her skirt was all wet like she peed on it :P (it was more embarrasing for her than it was for me) all the senior students were in fits :p

Great! Thanks for the smiles.
Just the other day, a group of boys were riding their bikes and wouldn't get out of the way of traffic. They were causing problems just to be 'cute'. I was the first car in line behind them and there were several cars behind me. I finally lost my temper and pounded on my horn. Well, my horn got stuck! It was blaring out on long BEEEPPPPPPPP! I had to drive like that to the next side street, park, and try to open my hood. My hood wouldn't open and the horn just went on and on. No one would stop and help me. People were standing in their doorways watching. And, worse of all, the group of little boys stopped across the street and were laughing so hard they were falling on the ground! christie Illinois

Funny how the question is "How is your day going?" and everyone answers about the WEATHER! It's 6:28 in the morning here so I don't really know how my day is going yet....
---
Well, my day (September 13) is nearly over, it's getting dark already. It's been a good day, my husband is recovering from a knee injury and doing well, the weather has been warm and sunny and I've been to the hairdresser. So now I'm hoping for a few nice bottles, then I'll head for bed and do a few Sudokus. I'm completely addicted to them. And tomorrow is sports day at my school, so no classes for me, just a few hours outside in the sunshine. Sometimes life is good.
---
Good day here as well in Texas. Lovely weather and I got quite a bit accomplished today.
---
It's Sunday the 18th at 4:42pm and is warm but cooling. We are cleaning so I escaped here! It's beautiful here in NZ

And the bottle is back in Texas again! It is Sept. 21 and my day is going so-so. I don't feel well and I am getting whiney because there is no one to take care of me. So I will drink lots of fluids, take loads of vitamins, and just rest. I may even splurge and rent a movie on pay per view.

---
Well, Sept 21 in Maine, almost 11:00pm, end of the day for me, and a pretty good one. Hope this bottle finds everyone else well!!!
---

It's 1:30 AM, Sept 25, 2006 in Navarre, Fl. All my days are wonderful because I choose to make them that way. When my husband was dying 2 years ago, I learned the true importance of life. It's all about treating each other with love and respect. I wish you all a lifetime of perfect days.
